COVID-19 UPDATE

To all of our patients, family and friends,

We have been thinking about you and hope that you and your families are safe and healthy. Everyone has been through a lot and we are ready to restart some sort of normalcy. As we welcome patients back to our office, we want to reassure you that your safe treatment is our number one goal.

We are following the most recent advice from the center for disease control, American Dental Association and Michigan Dental Association and Marquette County Health Department to make changes to keep all our patients and staff safe from infection. Some changes include:

  • Screening questions will be asked when you scheduled your appointment as well as when you arrive for your appointment.

  • We ask you ‘check in’ by calling us from the parking lot

  • Hand sanitizer is provided in the waiting room and we ask that you use it upon arrival

  • Hard to disinfect items have been removed from the waiting room to make it easier to frequently clean throughout the day.

  • More time is being allowed between appointments to manage social distancing between patients. We may ask you to wait in your car instead of the waiting room.

  • We also ask you come into the office alone. If necessary, one caregiver or family member may come in with the patient with prior arrangement.

  • We will take your temperature before your appointment.

  • You may see that all the staff, including the front office, will be wearing masks.

  • We ask the everyone who enters the office wear a face covering unless unable due to a medical reason

  • There may be other changes as we try to keep social distancing to six feet.

As always we will continue to verify your insurance eligibility but with possible changes in employment, coverage may be more complicated. We encourage you to confirm your coverage with your insurance provider. Please notify us of any changes you are aware of.

While we are doing all we can to minimize the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission, it’s important to realize that infection is unlikely, but possible. If you are sick, we ask that you call to reschedule your appointment. If we suspect you to have COVID-19, before or at your appointment, we will reschedule you for another time.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you, and every patient safe in our office. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you soon.

In good health,

Dr. William Ballard & The Wright Street Dental Team
